title: Tell me something

Hello (:

Today I officially didn't do any work D: Oh dear. We recorded Look Out World (ie our class song) in the recording studio today and I must say it was a pretty awesome experience! Firstly I didn't know there existed a studio in RGS and so I was kinda surprised 'cause there were mikes and a mixer connected to a Mac for that perfect studio-type recording haha! :D Everything else was ours luh. Anyway, we did the music first before the vocals and everything put together sounded beyond niceee! And we were all jamming each others' instrus. Or at least I was with the drums and the bass lol. Didn't get to hear the final final recording, though, 'cause I had to leave. But our class is really talented and I'm so glad we got to realise it today in just the right way: a class song! I'm looking forward to hearing it (: (:

It was an awesome time even though it's like, just before EYAs. Yeah, we had to get the class song done 'cause the deadline was extended around 4906720487 times. Mebbe we can form a class band and perform for the teachers on Monday since the school wants entertainment from us -.-/:D

Epic moments during Philo and SS WHAHAHAHA:

Mr Ow: The end goal of inductivists is confirmation.
Someone (not sure who): Ooh they should just become Catholics, then!

Mr Ow says, "Ah, I need a drink." and sips from his metal cup. We had teased him about his newly-dyed brown hair a few moments ago and so...

Someone: Coffee makes you die young.
Talia: But his hair dyed already!
Mr Ow: Gosh! If I had enough hair I'd pull it out!!!

During SS, Talia is laughing so hard she has to bury her head in a cushion to keep from infecting everyone else. (She still does anyway.)

Mr Jalleh: Talia! You're so infectious! You're a virus!
Talia: Ya, I'm influential!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

IT'S BE-YOURSELF-DAY TOMORROW! Theme's Ambition. And I'm coming as a fairy (: Alright I'm off to make my magic wand ta!

Ok I'm kinda sleepy and there's still Chem Equilibrium quiz tomorrow which is supposed to be hard. HAHA. Ta!

AHH I've just spent so much time on writing (or trying to write) class song. And I actually came up with a tune too and tried to record it using Garageband but due to some problems I faced with it, I gave up and wrote the note names down in Word instead. Haha.

(I wish everyone from the song comm would take some responsibility and not just a few people -.- Wah lau.) I meant to get started on studying Philo today but I didn't really succeed. Agh.

Alright. After relaxation (on Thursday, that is): STUDY STUDY ><

Anyway, cell today was indeed quite special (ya the surprise was that Calvin would be attending lol!) 'cause he told us about the changes in the services next year (D:!) and about how at our age we should be thinking about giving back to the Ministry through various ways. So now we are "in charge" of the bbq on 5 Sept (x But the point is, I am thinking about how I can contribute to Crossover.
Polaroid picture; love the effect! (:

title: BALLOONS!! :D

Hello (: Today after Chem SA Deb, Nancy and I went for lunch at the Far East ramen shop. (Anna couldn't join us 'cause of her forum thingy that kept changing arrangements rawr!!! When everything was all planned out so nicely luh -.-) After that Nancy and I went for:D :D :D I really really enjoyed the movie, most importantly 'cause it made me happy (: Hahaha. And there were so many endearing moments, hilarious moments, heartbreaking moments and witty moments. I loved the whole colourful balloons idea :D AH what a great Walt Disney/Pixar movie.
Carl and Ellie! Aww...
Exotic bird, Russell, talking dog, Carl. Haha.

Anyway, last Wednesday was Farewell (D:) and our directs made this video for us that was so sweet! Haha. It's been great that I've been able to share my RGSSB time with all these wonderful people and what Jolyn said was so true: that some things just have to "have happened" and we move on from there. *reminiscent sigh*
Our SB and Minyi!
The section <3
Ok and this is cheesy LOL. Xinyi's directs gave her that pair of funky shades btw (x

Ok what happened today was a pretty big issue for my class and it really kind of tested our morality (yeah I know it sounds big but there's no other word to use). And forced me to examine my own, in a way. But regardless of what exactly happens they're still our friends and our classmates so NO GRUDGES whatsoever. It isn't for us to deal with after all, and we'll let the appropriate people handle it. I hope things went the way we thought it best they go (:

Oh yeah, I must blog about Farewell! Which happened last Wednesday haha -.- Soon soon.

I discovered that Preview can change photograph effects quite nicely :D (Thanks to Wanting who told me HAHA). I hadn't noticed previously about the "Adjust Colour" and "Adjust Size" etc etc functions -.-

A picture of the sunset during my Tioman trip (so beautiful ain't it?)
The edited version after I played around with the controls (:
Oh there's some camera sale going on at Liang Court. Considering my old camera is more or less spoilt... :) Haha.

Back after a long period of not blogging! (SS PT lahh.)

The National Day weekend was pretty good fun! :D School celebrations were quite cool with the fashion show and all. And Mr Ow and Mr Toh sang the National Day song and everyone was encoring them haha!

This is the best shot I could get (401's model) before my camera decided to conk out on me ):
With Karen, our model :D
Our beautiful class picture on the stage we koped (: With Karen the modelll and Mr Tan too lol!
And we paid a visit to Ion after that... :D It was my first time at this chi-chi place, where even the toilets are beautifully and artfully made up. The design of the interior is quirky and cool too (I just really don't like the outside :P).
Yes, even the food court (or food hall on posh language) has art installations distributed all around the place. The food is pretty pricey though, but nice! (: I tried Korean rice cakes and Royce chocolate too; the chocolate was heavenly manzxcxz!
Anna and I went to HMV at Citylink after that to buy albums since they're having this awesome sale now! I really like Keane's Perfect Symmetry artwork. Just looking at the album cover makes me wanna buy it, and I did haha!
On Sunday we went over to my aunt's place after church. We spent the afternoon playing pool and for dinner we had laksa and all the other Singapore food. HAHA.

Emmanuel! Haha SO CUTE!
Us plus the food. Hehheh.
It was awesome that Monday was a holiday. I could mug for Chinese and Lit on Tuesday. Ha ha!

title: What do you see

Sometimes I wish I could travel extensively just to capture such beautiful images. But then again, beauty can be found here if I look hard enough. (:

Today was quite eventful. We had our first class prayer meeting after school and it was really great just worshipping, sharing and praying with my classmates; it was nice 'cause we haven't met up as a class to pray before. I have to learn how to listen more and rely more on Him.

Went with Anna and Evan to watch Public Enemies after that. It really was a great movie! And my first NC16 whoohoo! HAHA. Despite it being a little violent and gory, the whole story, the style with which it was told and the emotions evoked were fantastic (: Not to mention Johnny Depp's and Christian Bale's acting chops and suave, brooding good looks lollerz.

Anyway. It's NDay celebrations tomorrow and I'll have to go to school in band u and later change to the red outfit. Ma fan, but nevertheless, it's gonna be fun! Karen's wearing my red-and-white heels down the catwalk haha :D After taking them out of storage and seeing them on Karen's feet I have rediscovered why I bought them in the first place; they look so nice! Hehheh!

I don't get how some people just don't mind taking others for granted. Just like that. It's quite infuriating. We're people too.

title: After emerging from the blue

It was evening when I went swimming yesterday. I had stopped at the deep end and the view was really quite spectacular when I turned around to face the pool.

The setting sun had thrown a gradually narrowing path of light on the pool, and the contrast of wavering swimming-pool-blue with the sun and the golden column of light, plus the deckchairs and umbrellas flanking the pool, a colourful kids playground in the background and the soothing sound of lapping water really made a brilliant picture. A really rewarding image when you have finished swimming laps (:

But nothing will describe this better than a photograph! Dang.
